From Nautilus, right click on a mounted USB Drive icon and select Safely
Remove Drive. Frequently, this causes a kernel panic which crashes
You need to change the version check for setting VM sysctls as well.
I suggest this patch:

I can't reproduce this.
Please run 'debsums -c linux-support-2.6.26-1'.

After #609300 got fixed, the linux images should therefore add Breaks
for all non-fixed versions of input-utils.
Maybe. But first you have to make input-utils work with both the kernel
version in squeeze and the version in sid.

I'm always amazed by the number of people who take up solipsism because
they heard someone else explain
more user confusion. And the first behaviour is

of all packages in sid, your package failed to build on
amd64.

The build-dependency needs to be changed to linux-support-2.6.39-2.
We should possibly split that package to avoid this busy-work, since
firmware-free has no requirement for the version-specific data in that
package.

The same bug exists in mainline Linux today.

This bug remains closed. Bug #628844 covers the regression, so I'm
making that one critical instead.
