Package: ntop
Version: 3:3.2-8
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable
On my system, ntop segfaults after about 20 minutes of operation. I ran
it with strace this last time, and the last lines are:
nanosleep({10, 0}, {0, 0}) = 0
nanosleep({10, 0}, {0, 0})
I tried re-compiling the package with debugging enabled, but it doesn't
look that useful. Here's the output from my debugging attempt:
hostname:~# gdb /usr/sbin/ntop
GNU gdb 6.4.90-debian
Copyright (C) 2006 Free Software Foundation, Inc.
GDB is free software, covered by the GNU General Public
I compiled libgdbm with debugging, and here's another backtrace:
capone:~# gdb /usr/sbin/ntop
GNU gdb 6.4.90-debian
Copyright (C) 2006 Free Software Foundation, Inc.
GDB is free software, covered by the GNU General Public License, and you
are
welcome to change it and/or distribute copies of it
, so look at
http://kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/people/mnc/open-iscsi/ for the
current releases.
The severity is grave, because this version of the tools should not ship
with etch (because of kernel compatibility issues, see the site above),
so they should either be upgraded or removed.

When booting Xen Dom0 on my Dell 2950, the kernel panics. I have been
unable to get the serial console working under xen (works under normal
kernels), so the best debugging info

Our Exchange server was recently upgraded from Exchange 2000 to Exchange
2003, and I have not experienced the same recurring crashing since. It
seems likely to me that this problem only exists when connecting to
exchange 2000.

Banshee crashes on startup for me too. I've attached my gdb debugs as
per the previous instructions in this bug.

This bug still exists in the current version of evolution exchange.
There is a bug filed upstream here:

I still consider this bug grave, as I have to restart evolution after
every e-mail that I send and every time after changing to a different
folder. Can the priority be changed back to grave?

The problem seems to get more severe over time. Currently,
evolution-exchange-backend crashes every time I open a different folder
or send an e-mail.
