Hi, My setup is somewhat similar as my root partition is also on a RAID1 array with two disks. GRUB is installed on both of them. This is just to note that I did not reproduce the reported problem when I recently upgraded from 1.99-17 to 1.99-21. The upgrade went on swiftly as always. Best

Hello, I just upgraded my system and did *not* see that behaviour. I use the testing repositories and today's upgrade installed 0.6.1.5-3, replacing 0.4.11.11-1+b2. /usr/bin/aptitude exists and points to /etc/alternatives/aptitude, which in turn points to /usr/bin/aptitude-curses. Regards,
