to ncurses including format string annotations.
Indeed. The fix for the error is quite simple, add "%s" as first
argument in the printw call. Patch for that attached, although the
warnings might also be worth a look.

The attached patch which could be dropped into debian/patches fixes that
by adding "%s" as penultimate argument in the two mvwprintw calls above.
See #993179 for the change in ncurses which triggered these errors.
