Yes, and _it_ is the culprit!
I removed libsane-extras and upgraded libsane to -2 and the problem did not
reappear.
So you can reassign the bug to the bad guy.

Hi,
I'm not sure if the severity is appropriate (maybe I'm just upset because I
spent nearly two days to identify the problem) but I think it corresponds to
the Debian definition
