I removed the empty folder: /usr/lib/xulrunner-1.9/chrome/ and made the symbolic link: ln -s ../../share/xulrunner-1.9/chrome /usr/lib/xulrunner-1.9/chrome and iceweasel runs!!! I really think iceweasel should not crash this way for a missing folder but give an error at the console at least of
