Dear maintainers, I have an LCD.
I don't known fontconfig but after the last upgrade (on my debian testing) DejaVu fonts became ugly. I'm not an expert (hence, I might say something stupid) but I have seen a strange file's disposition.

I'll explain.

I see that the package fontconfig-config (after this upgrade) put all .conf file in the /etc/fonts/conf.d/ directory

In this package there are another new directory /etc/fonts.conf.d/ who contains only a new .conf file (11-lcdfilter-default.conf)

might be that this double location for the .conf files can causes my problems?

however if I use "hintmedium" DejaVU looks well and the Freefont are ugly
if I use "hintslight" Freefont looks well and the DejaVU are ugly

There are a settings to render well both fonts?

this is the output of cat ~/.config/fontconfig/fonts.conf

<?xml version='1.0'?>
<!DOCTYPE fontconfig SYSTEM 'fonts.dtd'>
<fontconfig>
 <dir>~/.fonts</dir>
 <match target="font">
  <edit mode="assign" name="hinting">
   <bool>true</bool>
  </edit>
 </match>
 <match target="font">
  <edit mode="assign" name="hintstyle">
   <const>hintmedium</const>
  </edit>
 </match>
 <match target="font">
  <edit mode="assign" name="rgba">
   <const>none</const>
  </edit>
 </match>
 <match target="font">
  <edit mode="assign" name="antialias">
   <bool>true</bool>
  </edit>
 </match>
</fontconfig>
