varmon is a package for monitoring RAID arrays on certain Mylex
controller cards. It's likely that all of these cards have died
within the last 19 years, so I'm questioning if we should continue
shipping varmon?

Interested parties should reply in this bug.

I'll raise severity of this bug over time, and expect it to lead to
an eventual removal of varmon.
