Justification: breaks unrelated software
I have both initramfs-tools and yaird installed on my system.
Yaird is explicitly defined as the default to use in /etc/kernel-img.conf.
Updating to initramfs-tools an hour ago my yaird-generated
tools (and other
comparative info) is on the Debian wiki[1].
Please help fill in the gaps at that page, if you know of something
that is not on that page, or is marked wrongly or as Unknown,
needs to be tested :-)

aware that not all is in favor of yaird, but the
reasoning behind choosing one over the other - or what is considered
fair ground for fair a competition between them.

The file /etc/gconf2/path is a conffile owned by the package gconf2.

Package: debian-edu-config
Severity: serious
Justification: Policy 10.7.4
The (only?) purpose of debian-edu-config is to tweak the default
install of other Debian packages. Extensions are added to the
base-config package that messes with a bunch of conffiles based on
debconf values.
It is a

I want automation. Automation is possible *now* by adding unofficial
hacks to Debian.
Oh, and automation is also possible officially in Debian, thanks to this
bug being tagged as sarge-ignore :-I

The package installs some symlinks, that are broken unless gappletviewer-4.1 is

The severity is arguably only serious, but no less than that IMHO.
