Thanks for testing it - this is a known problem then and we have partly
fixed it in our VCS[1] and it will be fixed by upstream in eclipse 3.6
(and possibly also 3.5.2).

It appears to me this package is being NMU maintained. Furthermore
it seems that upstream has dropped support for Linux (I could only see
a Windows and a Mac download plus a uTorrent link).

This is, indeed, most likely caused by the above mentioned bug. The bug
was caused by libarchive-zip-perl and requires a rebuild against the
patched version. As the package is architecture all, it cannot be
binNMU'ed, so source upload is required. I can recommend bumping the
