Dear Colin,
thank you for this project, it looks very interesting. Would you also
support running ratt there? For some packages ratt often fails on my
local machines due to RAM constraints.
Best regards,

upstream's health issues, things are seemingly back to normal.
Additionally, a new developer has joined and is willing to take over
the development should upstream's health deteriorate again.

# Wheezy had (1:3.2.3-11+deb7u1) so reintroduce the epoch for one target.
override_dh_gencontrol:
dh_gencontrol --package=dhcpcd -- -v1:$(DEB_VERSION_UPSTREAM_REVISION)
dh_gencontrol --remaining-packages
This is what I would do if the archive policy demands it. Won't affect
transitional dhcpcd5 or dhcpcd-base.

Someone apparently made a commit to the autoremoval hinter that makes
it mark packages unrelated to an RC-bug package getting marked for

Could someone please look into this?

Dear all,
I prepared a debian package for go-sendxmpp [1] as well as for the
dependencies getopt [2] and mattn/go-xmpp [3].
It would be nice if someone could check them and add them to debian if
all is well. If not I'd appreciate any feedback.
Best regards,

.
Mind you, as far as I am aware neither SUSE nor Red Hat dared to remove
rsyslog from their enterprise offerings so far. Just imagine the uproar
this would cause! I know Fedora has it removed, but CentOS 7 certainly
has not and neither SLE 12 and 15. I am not completely sure about CentOS
8 cause I did not consciously check, but I believe I have seen rsyslog
running there as well.

ot;Ok, let's change the
default logging system."
Cause if I understood above wording correctly, then it means a package
may use a Systemd feature. But this would only affect this one package.
However here a system wide default of the system is changed.
Thanks,

Hi,
two packages[¹, ²] I uploaded are "Rejected due to piuparts
regression". I learned, that this is due to a bug in piuparts.
Any solution on its way? Would I need to re-upload later?
TIA & Cheers
PS: Many thanks for running piuparts anyway. Such bugs happen,
but the extra safety net it
w as well – and I do not believe
that there is much to gain by elaborating on it, as I think what I wrote
has been clear. Luckily I am off to some other activity now. So I will
not see this list for a while.
Again:
Have a Happy New Year, everyone!
Best,
