with current KDE4 beta4 for i386 and amd64 architectures:

I would like to plug in an already correct xorg.conf file and avoid
running xserver-xorg configuration at boot; is this possible and how?

Hello,
I would like to know if it is possible to change the default kernel in
debian-live and boot with a customized one.
Is it sufficient to plug the .deb package of the new kernel in the
appropriate lh_config directory?

if you use live-initramfs (lenny and newer), you can use the
noxautoconfig boot parameter.

no, but almost. check the mailinglist archive, this was asked (and
