I've been faced with the same problem (and the same work-around) after
my system crashed (actually rather a power loss). It seems that the
akregrator Archive ends up being “corrupted” very easily and/or
akregator does not sanitize it enough.

soon as OK was pressed. It now needs to be restarted which is fairly
inconvenient when one often has to change between real tab indentation
and white space

versions.
