With regards to required dependencies for Glom 1.12.3:
* goocanvasmm - 0.13 is in Debian, requires 0.14.
* libgdamm - requires 4.0, not in Debian. I compiled 3.99.17.
You need to have postgresql-8.4 installed to compile and working binary.
Other than those gotchas, I have glom compiled
