Hi,
I've also looked into packaging jgit, but didn't make this an ITP since I
wasn't confident enough.
What I've done so far:
- contact the protobuf Debian maintainer. libprotobuf-java should get an
update soon with proper maven packaging.
- complained to jgit upstream about the copyright
Any news on this? It would be nice to have this package in Debian :)
