This is the bug, with a solution.

I removed the libxft-dev package: /usr/X11R6/include/X11/Xft/Xft.h is
still here and belong to no package (dpkg -S). I deleted this file and
re-installed libxft-dev, everything worked fine.

If you move (or remove) /usr/X11R6/include/X11/Xft/Xft1.h and
/usr/X11R6/include/X11/Xft/Xft to /tmp/, you can do apt-get -f install
to finally upgrade this package.
Hope that help someone for waiting.

Hi,
I was pretty busy last two weeks...
In order to get rid of all these problem of ghost bugs caused by
optimizations, I recompiled a version of the X server without any -Ox
and with -g. As expected the out of range error vanished in the air,
but not the bug.
After few tries, I think I know

Followup-For: Bug #237641
Hello,
I ran a few more tests, and the bug does not occur when I start
another instance of X running ratpoison. My guess is that the bug is
due to files (libraries or otherwise) that have already been opened
and are older versions.

Yes. The only way to satisfy this package's dependency is to install
libx11-6.
No, xlibs 4.3.0 or above also meets the requirements.

I tried to upgrade, but I got the same problem. And the system is
unfixable with apt-get -f install. So why isn't the severity set
to grave so that it can be caught by apt-listbugs?
