Variant with lots of thin blocks look very pale and lost against the white
text (logo and title). I think we have no more time for experiments (our
deadline for this 2013-06-11) and I uploaded my variant to the media art
wiki [1] and my fedorapeople space [2].

Hey!
i like it, however, I would move the url on the back either on the middle
of the image (not) or below this one (yup) and remove the blur/highlights,
which makes it hard to read since it's a same-color blur.
