No, it only happes with Theora (ogg) videos, you can clearly notice the
musical note icon appearing on top the of the thumbnail, that also
happens only with theora videos. A .mpg video for example does not get
that musical note cloud at all, it just shines like a normal nautilus
icon would do.

I still have that kind of problem. I am able to edit text files with vim on a
windows fileserver mounted like
/sbin/mount.cifs //serverName ./localFolderName iocharset=utf8,
username=myUserName
but while trying to edit them with Gedit I get the error Can not save file xxx.

This is the behaviour you ask for when select sloppy focus, if you don't want
to loose the focus on the windows you was working on, select click as policy so
you ensure that unless you click on other windows, the focus will remain on you
current one.
