Confirmed, Totem Movie Player 2.26.1, (GStreamer 0.10.22). When crash,
it looks like I'm logging out from X Window, but there's no Login
prompt, instead it's a blank black screen without anything, so my only
way is to hard reboot.

Cannot queue jobs to a remote printing server if shutted down
Adding a patch that drop the clicked handler in GtkAboutDialog as
suggested by upstream.
Rebuilt libgtk2.0-0_2.16.1-0ubuntu3_i386.deb package and tested with

i am using jaunty rc i386 and am having the issue on a live disk and
install
i cannot use sftp or smb to play from
i tried removing the authentication from seahorse and restarted no dice
also tried the .gvfs directory also no dice
if i copy the files to the local desktop i can play no prob

Open gnome-display-properties and reduce your resolution.
Now try to increase it back to the starting resolution. gnome-display-
properties will curtly tell you, Please log out and log back in again.
No explanation of why.

I'm working right now so I'm not able to check at the moment, but I
don't think that universe is initially enabled - only main and
restricted. (I originally only looked in the System Administration
Software Sources sense, and though I assumed this just parses the

My temporary workaround:
1) Create a script containing the command to increase brightness (echo 4
/proc/acpi/ibm/cmos) and make it writable only by root.
2) Give permission to my everyday user account to execute the script via sudo

Hi.
Upgraded to jauly today. After all the cpu usage was high from Xorg.
Using a dualscreen setup.
After removing vino-server the problem stopped and the load goes down.
