On my karmic system, I could not find any cronjobs or large databases
related to librarian, so I do not consider it a problem. Scrollkeeper

But about every touchpad is a Synaptics touchpad and for the great mass

I think a have a related problem;
When starting my vaio k415b on battery power the boot hangs on the splash
screen (no futher activity)
On AC power everything works perfect.

I got a hold of a Windows user who let me plug the iPod into his box,
and upon starting iTunes, iTunes claimed that the iPod was corrupted and

I have had a look into /usr/share/system-tools-
backends-2.0/scripts/Users/Users.pm. Unfortunatly I am not at all
familliar with perl.
If it is currently reading in settings from /etc/adduser.conf it should

The issue is that the pixel size of the jpg is not a multiple of 8. This
makes lossless jpg rotation impossible, but eog is not smart enough to

A file/directory without write permissions shows a lock emblem even
though you can access it.
And this icon/emblem just looks the same as a file/directory that can
not even be read.

IMHO, regardless this is caused by hardware or not, the behaviour of
Pulseaudio's volume control is too complicated. It is not clear which tracks
are controlled and in what order. After upgrading to Ubuntu 9.10 sound and
media keys worked out of the box (good job for this). However, the

gconftool-2 --set /apps/aisleriot/show_toolbar --type boolean true

..and when your grandparents call you tell them to press alt+f2, no not

Yeah, that's not completely trivial, that's why I don't say you: OK,

I double click the .VOB file and Totem plays it. It doesn't show that
there are any subtitles available when in fact VLC does.
Selecting the .VOB file as the subtitles file manually also doesn't help

Ah, I have a tip for reproducing this bug every time.
- Choose a folder where there are many documents which needs a thumbnail
generation.
- Execute : rm -rf ~/.thumbnails
- In nautilus (in the chosen folder), press F5 (for regenerating thumbnails)
- Before the thumbnails are generated, press F5

VirtualBox installation.
