title to have just text would be to change the appindicator API. And it
would be a temporary change, because the goal is eventually for this
menu to have, as its title, the same icons as it will use for the
individual layout

Still there is something that could easily be improved:
When I select a filesystem mounted on the top of a luks-mapped device, since
the device name is like 10 times bigger than /dev/sdc2, it makes the second
column far too wide.
This same BadAtom also happens for me with the open-source Radeon driver, yet
does not happen with the binary driver.
It looks like the problem most likely lies in the fallback brightness-control
methods used when the xrandr backlight property is not supported.

Right now I've inserted a DVD+R with recorded, by LG DVD recorder, video.
The process has been over perfectly, without any error message.
There's been a message that the disk is empty now and at the same time the
DVD drive's been opened.
My disk was really empty - Brasero
And still present in ubuntu 10.04! Please fix it, it's a really annoying

Instead of hiding/showing the menu item, we're setting it
sensitive/insensitive which appears to not change anything really

could you clarify what you call keyboard menu exactly? is that just
turning off the indicator? because most users don't need the indicator
to have a menu but still want the layout to be indicated because
otherwise they would not know where they are cycling or which one they
are using

Well I can confirm that Evolution mail is working in an installed Ubuntu
10.04 on another computer. I finally got it to work by appending the
port number to the server address, as : --
Inwards mail : imap.gmail.com:993 SSL encryption, Password
authentication.
Outwards mail :
