I can also confirm the fix doesn't work for my other computer. The
differences between this one and the one which has no issues is that the
one which works is in a VM and was a fresh install. The computer with

Please fix this, it has persisted with me since jaunty, I have used
gconf-editor to fix this (editing apps/gnomepowermanager), but this time
it is not working. I'm not understanding how this bug has survived 6
iterations. I cant even leave my desk with my laptop, something is

I know and I do not expect random applications (or nautilus in
particular) to work well with sudo, gksudo or gksu. But there is a
package nautilus-gksu in main and people install it and then nautilus do

Timeout while waiting for mount to appear when
I recently upgraded to 11.10 and Empathy no longer indicates that I have
a new chat message except for the bubble popup that stays for just a few
seconds. If I miss that bubble, I don't see any indicator but I can see
if someone sent me a message by opening the contacts list and looking
for
