Looked at this more today, My guess would be the 1 second
delta_notice_timeout in gs-watcher-x11.c . For some reason this causes
a function to loop until it locks the screen. I'm guessing that this
might be useful if the screensaver has detected it should be blanking
but is unable to.

suspending the computer.
You can try uncommenting the no_fade_on_user_switch patch to see if it goes

i've often seen the xsession-errors errors/warnings going away after renaming
the .gconf .local .gnome2 then they are cleanly recreated on next boot. That
should not exist with if packages updates was taking care of deprecated
settings/symlinks etc but the fact is.

I'm having a go at fixing this just and and a question has just occurred
to me: how useful is this feature? Is there really a use case for people
not wanting to display all the tracks on their hard drive within

I determined that gsd is opting not to suspend the machine because it
thinks an external display is connected. This is not the case, and the
i915 driver is showing that only the eDP connector (i.e. the internal

Just to clear up if need be - among other things I'd starting seeing
this on my A2/upgraded install so did a fresh install today from current
image happened to notice it was occurring at random. So then filed
this report from new install.
IIRC there was a number of libdbus* updates the other
Fixed in the latest Compiz updates.

I'm not actually positive it's a regression in gvfs. I've compiled the
natty version of gvfs, and that didn't help. In both cases I get:
gvfs-mount obex://[40:89:4E:71:40:E3]
Error mounting location: Connection to the device lost
The command takes a few seconds to complete, which makes me wonder
