Terminal prompt got strangely replicated when resizing terminal horizontally

A terminal emulator's job is to execute the precise instructions it
receives from the connected application (e.g. bash), and in this case,
VTE does that correctly. It's bash (or some other readline app) that
asks the terminal to print the prompt over and over again,

middle-click and secondary-click are

In files or a text editor, the functions for the stylus buttons on my
Wacom One are swapped (the button close to the stylus tip is supposed to
act like a middle click, instead it acts like a secondary-click, and
vice versa)
In a web browser, however,
Auto-hide was enabled at the time, and I did replicate the issue. Other
than trimming the repeated instances of "Timelines with detached actors
are not supported." that is the full log for the session, which started
from a cold boot. If that error's not relevant, then I don't have any
more
