Trying to type numeric characters into the evolution search box is not
working when using the numeric keys above the letters on the keyboard.
Shift+numeric key for a special symbol works, and then numpad keys work,

my initial tests show that disbling the wacom plugin fixes the issue
with hotkeys, volume keys, and even brightness keys (previously even the
restart didn't fix brightness keys for me even though it fixed hotkeys
and volume keys).

have not been able to block that user.

conversation window contact-block contact doesn't actually add to the
blocked contacts list

was receiving spam ims from the same im name every few days, and
conversation window's contact-block contact was not helping.
then noticed contact list has edit-blocked contacts, which did not
include that im name. just added it, hopefully will actually block that
user.
fixed with latest 1.29.16-0ubuntu2 gjs + 3.1.3-0ubuntu4

as of relatively recently in oneiric, empathy chat dialogs no longer
open.
double clicking a contact in the contact list opens a gnome-shell
message tray bubble, but clicking on that bubble doesn't open an empathy
chat dialog.
there appears to be no way to enter a group
