As I use it more and more, the memory used by gnome-shell is also increasing.
I've tested it in Xorg and Wayland and both result in a gradual increase in

For instance, one such program is Chromium, which searches
/usr/share/icons/[current_theme], /usr/share/icons/gnome, and

the target directory. I have also read Help - Contents and f-spot

So does libgphoto2 in ia32-libs. It looks for port plugins in /usr/lib,
thus apps that depend on it cannot find any camera ports.
To reproduce:
1. verify 64-bit gphoto2 --list-ports outputs disk:/, usb:, etc
2. install lib32readline5
3. download 32-bit gphoto2 deb pkg
4. ar x
The proposed update seems to have fixed the problem for me. I haven't
seen gnome-keyring-daemon segfaults ever since yesterday afternoon when
I enabled the hardy-proposed channel and applied all the updates
therein.

Adding command gthumb --import-photos to the Digital Camera item on
Removeable Drives and Media Preferences re-enables the camera detected
prompt.
I consider the bug fixed although it's still not clear what caused it (I
mean the import errors).

Expected behavior: When the digital camera is plugged in, a camera
detected prompt should pop up; and if the user choose to import photos,
gThumb should be able to import without any problems.
The bug is a regression introduced in Hardy.
I just tried it again after applying updates. gThumb and
I'm running Ubuntu 7.10 and the installed version of Rhythmbox is
0.11.2-0ubuntu4 ( I installed it through aptitude)

It seems that I cannot reproduce the lockups with scim-1.4.7-1ubuntu1
now.
But I am sure it was still reproducible when I was writing my previous
post. I didn't do anything special w.r.t. scim setup. I just installed
from the latest tribe desktop CD, and installed Chinese language

After installing the hal update (0.5.9-1ubuntu2~feisty1) released
several days ago, eject becomes unmount on the context menu for USB hard
drives. I think It is a workaround for this problem, but it's not a nice

to, feisty can eject two Cypress CY7C68300C-56PVXC based external hard
drives smoothly; it cannot eject the one based on Initio INIC-1530L.

3. Type dmesg or cat /var/log/messages in each tab for several times
4. Close a tab or two
I managed to reproduce it twice in less than 2 minutes. When locking up
occurs, new gnome-terminal instances won't
It seems that lockup no longer occur If scim is disabled. So if you are
not using scim, you need to type im-switch -s scim-pinyin in order to
reproduce the problem.
Having seen gaim locking up as well, I guess it's more likely a scim
bug.
