Steps to reproduce:

1. Within Nautilus ("Files"), navigate to ~/Desktop.
2. Delete a file, either via the Delete key or "Move to trash" context menu 
entry.
3. Observe a noticeable freeze that does not occur when deleting files in any 
other directory.
