On Debian Lenny: I first installed the libgnomevfs2-extra library but
it still didn't work and then I installed the python-gst0.10 library
which fixed my problem.
Thank you all very much!

Unable to activate plugin Jamendo and Unable to activate plugin Magnatune Store
I can confirm that this bug does effect Xubuntu 8.04.1 (Xfce 4.4.2).
When you install Rhythmbox from the repos and then start it up. Those
two error messages do appear. This has happen on two machines for me.
Installing libgnomevfs2-extra fixes the problem

Unable to activate plugin Jamendo
This also affects Xubuntu 8.04 x64. Installing the libgnomevfs2-extra
(and it's dependency) and restarting Rhythmbox I was able to start the
app without the error and subsequently remove them from the plugin list.

Unable to activate plugin Jamendo and Unable to activate plugin Magnatune
Reporting same issue here, installing the libgnomevfs2-extra library
(which had it's own dependency-- libsmbclient) fixed the problem. Fix
should simply be to make libgnomevfs2-extra (and its own) a dependency
for rhythmbox.

For me it wasn't. After installing that library it now works for me.
Still very annoying for a fresh install.

I'm running Debian Lenny and was seeing the same 3 plugin errors.
After running rhythmbox from an xterm I saw this:
(rhythmbox:5576): Rhythmbox-WARNING **: Could not open device /dev/radio0
Traceback (most recent call last):
File /usr/lib/rhythmbox/plugins/jamendo/__init__.py, line 28, in ?

I get several pop-up error dialogue messages:
Plugin error: Unable to activate plugin Cover Art
Plugin error: Unable to activate plugin Jamendo
Plugin error: Unable to activate plugin Magnatune Store
I have installed libgnomevfs2-extra and it hasn't made a difference. Is
a reboot of the machine
I still think this is a valid bug. And a very annoying at that. Bug
#114227 is supposed to be a dupe but doesn't give the original bug. This
is certainly still a problem in Xubuntu Hardy. Please reopen.

Unable to activate plugin Jamendo and Unable to activate plugin Magnatune Store
To solve this problem in Xubuntu, you must install libgnomevfs2-extra.
This should be a dependency of Rhythmbox, see bug 114227
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/rhythmbox/+bug/114227.

Unable to activate plugin Jamendo and Unable to activate plugin Magnatune Store
Various users, including myself, reported the same problem in the German
ubuntuusers.de forum. Two error messages appear when running Rhythmbox
under XUbuntu 8.04 stating that the Jamendo and Magnatune plugin can not
be loaded. After confirming these messages, Rhythmbox seems to work
fine. Both
