At first computer start, trash applet will crash then on reboot applet will

I choosed the german keymap qwertz with no-dead-keys but I get a
qwerty layout. After dpgk-reconfigure console-data (as root) I can

used from anywhere that I can think of. But seeing it gone now reminds
me of how fragile Ubuntu Linux desktops really are... It looks like

I have the same problem with natty (11.04). I upgraded from 10.04 where
the default setting RGB worked fine an came out (after a clean install)
with RGB and BGR providing the same, shifted, output. So I would assume
that instead of RGB (which is selected) BGR is always used for rendering
since RGB

brightness adjustment still freezes my system, however i did find some
workarounds
- in gnome power management disable the function to reduce brightness when
running on battery
- you can change the brightness in the nvidia-settings tool

I don't see the XSession errors Ben Stanley reported though... But I
think they might be unrelated.
What I do get is the following

Ubuntu better. I can't reproduce this bug here (Ubuntu 11.04) -- what
version of evince/Ubuntu are you using?
When reporting bugs in the future please use apport, either via the
appropriate application's Help - Report a Problem
BTW, your instructions work but I think it would have been easier to
just upload the resulting file graph.ps. I added it as an attachment to
the bug.
