well, i'm a simple home user, and i give (in the title above) the reason

Here are the steps: i upgrade Gutsy to Hardy alpha 3 and install
Evolution whit Hardy alpha 5. Since Hardy release , i uninstall and

The problem is that ham (non-spam) icon is always grayed. So, i can't
teach bogofilter for good email

Thanks for help; since this report date, i have removed Evolution and installed
it again, customized all the box the same way and now all the emails are well
downloaded.

with the last updates, now that button is no more greyed. So , that problem is
solved.
But i discover other problem: i made rules to move some mails in
specific folders and the result is very strange:
- all the emails are now downloaded directly in the folder corresponding to the
first

Karmic testing.
Same thing for me here:
- cpu used over 40 % by gnome-volume-control-applet.
- looking at .xsession-errors: this file is oversized too : over 25 Mio
after only 10 minutes still full filled. can't open it because too big
i suppose.

Some more findings:
Htop shown me too that pulseaudio use ~15 % of cpu. So, in a console i
run : sudo dpkg-reconfigure pulseaudio. This command stop restart
pulseaudio.
And the good surprise now: there is no more over eating cpu activity:

How to reproduce:
here is a fresh .xsession-errors just after booting without any other

when i want to delete multiple messages at once from a folder
(click+shift), evolution immediatly crash but nothing is logged.
Reopening evolution, the previous selected messages have been erased as
expected
