Yep, it's a bug in libXxf86vm or in your display driver.
xvidtune -show should show the same resolution as xrandr before resizing, but
it instead

Is that a second monitor or just the main one connected to your
computer? I don't have such issue here, could you test without that
custom resolution and see if that works correctly? do you get the same
if using rhythmbox with visualization and full screen?

i'm not at home now later i try other gtk application and with no custom
