This appears to still be an issue in Ubuntu 17.10. Although that might just be because libdrm on my machine reports "unknown" subpixel ordering for my monitor. So greyscale is the correct fallback... Can anyone confirm if this bug was fixed? ** Changed in: gnome-shell (Ubuntu) Importance:
