I still have real performance problems with this gfx card on 12.04... I
guess that we have passed the eol on it with unity/complz combo.
Today I get a replacement computer with another NVIDIA Card.. And it will

The bug behavior is somewhat different between 10.04 LTS and 12.04 LTS (i.e.,

Seemes that an old installation had blacklisted nvidia-updates module from
loading.
After removing the blacklist from /etc/modprobe.d the nvidia driver
started working again.
The installer of the package should check if there exists an blacklist

However the default Chinese sucks, it looks like it use other fonts, not the

I tried to disable syntax highlighting multiple times (selecting

When certifying systems with Ubuntu, we only test with the open-source
graphics drivers installed by Ubuntu. If these do not work properly then
we will try with the proprietary drivers. So this particular system has
never been tested by us with the proprietary drivers, and it is correct
to refer

I have now 11.10 on my netbook ecafè ec-800 (12.04 won't install with this
cpu...), bu it seems that xf86-video-geode 2.11.13 isn't available for Oneiric,
is that true?

- In Nautilus, Navigate to a folder that contains some file of which you are
not the owner and for which you don't have write permissions
- either Select such a file and hit the delete key
- OR right click on it and select move to trash
Expected
@sprnza: In my case, opening LO through Dash makes no difference -- the
global menu still does not appear.
@simplehuman: Thanks. Minimizing and then maximizing gets the menu to
show up, though it is inconvenient.
