I have used usb-creator-disk to make persistent Live USB form the ISO
from:
http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/current/
But was not able to boot from it, got boot error message. Have no other
way to test it on my machine. Virtual machine would not help as I need
to install nvidia drivers.

The previous comments (and linked bugs for e.g. Firefox) seem to
disagree - this appears to be due to wrong use of the file where every
application on a system is supposed to announce what mime types they can
handle.

Should have thought about the -v flag, that was a bit stupid...
This does answer why it isn't responding to my pen, but not why you cant close
the window in any normal way after it has timed out.
Ignoring the device its meant to calibrate kinda defeats the purpose.

I confirm that the patch referenced in #9 works on Ubuntu MATE 15.10 and
resolves #1501832.
fcitx-bin has been added to the Ubuntu MATE to satisfy complex input
requirements of CJKV users. Sadly, the inclusion of fcitx-bin make fcitx
default and that breaks the input requirements for other users.
