Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. The issue you are reporting is an upstream one and it
would be nice if somebody having it could send the bug to the developers
of the software by following the instructions at
Work around:
I'm running a Lenovo Flex 3 with Xubuntu. The problems shows up as
stated above (locking, sleeping, etc).
After sleeping mouse is missing, however you can tell when it is moved
over the whisker menu because the menu changes as the mouse-over event
occurs.

I have same problem with i5-5200U (Lenovo E550). I use the notebook with
more monitors (on VGA) and only one (HP Compaq LA2306x) is affected by
this bug.

- it's not connected with display resolution
- no syslog/dmesg messages
