I does solve the problem, but the dock
On the Debian bug site it shows that adding wifi.hidden yes via "nmcli
connection modify wifi.hidden yes" does seem to produce a solution
but it only works one time. When I did this and restarted network
manager service I had hidden wifi connect once successfully but it
wouldn't do it again
My particular problem stemmed from reconfiguring python3 to point to
python3.7 instead of python3.6 via update-alternatives. Logging into
terminal-only mode (Ctrl + F3), setting update-alternatives to use the
system version of python3.6 again, and rebooting solved the issue.

The New Profile dialog in the Network Settings is too small.
Not all options are visible.
It can not be resized.
Is there a reason to cram a GUI into a poststamp sized rectangle? I have
this huge monitor.

I'm confirming this bug 6 years later is real and unfixed still! The
solution worked for me. Can this be patched ASAP?
