I wonder if libinput is incorrectly scaling up the size of the
hysteresis dead zone it uses to ignore finger/sensor jitter. It really
should only be scaling up the movement velocity. The hysteresis size
shouldn't be scaled because it is in touchpad sensor units, not pixels.

I was just being overcautious and a bit nervous approving a change to a
stable release that didn't seem to be necessary. Sorry that I suddenly
started to contradict my previous comments. If more of the team want to
release it to lunar for consistency then sure...

This is very subjective and I could be wrong. Upon disabling the
extensions the lag was still present. With a USB mouse the lag is not
present or at least not as noticable.
Interestingly if I switch to 1080p the issue dissapears.
I think that subjectively the default mouse acceleration for 4k

When trying to make a screenshot with gnome's baked in screenshot tool
on a picture opened with EOG, the left/right arrows and rotate icons
do not autohide from the picture as long as the screenshot greyed out preview
tool is active, wich
this only happens in x11 session and not with wayland
