For the record, I don't think this is relevant with this bug. Native
Thunderbird and Flatpak have native notifications on KDE

This seems relevant (from stdout or stderr when running thunderbird from
terminal):

I believe I'm experiencing the same bug. It's more egregious on Wayland because
messages appear in the middle of the screen rather than at the designated edge.
It looks like this (email address intentionally blurred):

could you also check the debug console in thunderbird and journal to see
if there is any error?
