can't use CTRL + C for copy'n' ctrl + v for paste

1. Select directory.
2. Go to File -- Properties.
3. Nautilus shows properties of the wrong thing.
Nautilus doesn't appear to have any idea what it's doing.
Cut and Copy are also not an option so I've had to revert to the command
line!

The upstream code hasn't even been touched in three years. This package is as
good as dead.
