Public bug reported: Server install missed "renderer: NetworkManager" line in netplan/00-installer-config.yaml
this results in the network adapter is missing in the Network applet in Gnome settings Some gnome applications, including update script as reported by cockpit, believe the system is offline The fix is to add the missing line to the 00-installer-config.yaml and then "netplan apply" after this step, the network adapter appears in Gnome and all symptoms of the system being offline disappeared.
