The same happened to me (for a different project). Re-importing the project
to IntelliJ solved it

I just cloned the flink repository and imported the project into IntelliJ.
It worked for me. I'm using IntelliJ 14.0.3 and Java 7.

IntelliJ cannot open maven projects. It is stuck on “Looking for

profiles….”. I can open the project in eclipse without any problem.
