Just an FYI:
I'm updating dcmtk in rawhide from 3.6.6 to 3.6.7, and it includes a
soname bump (dcmtk bumps soname for every patch release..). This update
also includes a number of security fixes, so I've filed a ticket with
FESCo to request permission to also push the update to stable
