FreeCAD crashing on save

I recently had a new bug reported[1] that every time the user attempts to save FreeCAD crashes. There hasn't been a new release until just recently for over a year (or two?) so my assumption is that something changed in a depedenant library but there's so much information in the backtrace I'm
