Most QRM in SStv or Digital SSTV is caused by contesters.. Most of whom are
running splits and not listening to both freqs..The other is tuner-up-ers who
do not know what a SSTV or Digital SSTV signal sounds like, so they just thing
they are tuning up on a bunch of noise... The third is just
I feel the reason that the digital voice group on 14,236 has so much
QRM is because most don't know what DV signal sounds like.
I must agree with you about 7.173. But unlike DV signal you would
think that they would know there was something on the frequency
with the SSTV signal.

There is a new sheriff in town. The FCC has appointed Laura Smith to take Riley
Hollingsworth's former position in enforcement.
The FCC's Special Counsel for Amateur Radio slot has gone unfilled for 6
months thus she has a backlog of work ahead of her. Fortunately she is up to
the task.

Sorry Frank!
I'm not particularly interested in another Portland radio club whose meetings I
can't attend.
Thanks anyway!

I wouldn't ask a Bend resident to drive so far. For our meetings, you
don't have to leave your home. If there's ever anything in digimodes
you'd like to try, shoot me an email.
