As a matter of interest, are there any issues with using the SignalLink and
some of the faster modes? I understand it is a VOX controlled device. Would you
experience problems with it cutting off the start of the packet or
alternatively not returning to receive quick enough to receive the ack?
Not an issue for pskmail arq, the timing supports VOX.

Also works for Winmor ARQ. Make sure the delay control is set to minimum. With
correct drive, minimum delay pretty much works for every mode except Hell and
maybe just a tiny bit of delay on Olivia.

LEO stands for Law Enforcement Officer. For this Sprint, if you are or were a
law enforcement officer in any country (police, border patrol, customs, prison
guard, etc...) you will indicate so in your QSO exchange with LEO. (ex:

Hi All,
I've been lurking a while and I've not found a clear (to me anyway) discussion
of small, individual digital mode software programs, e.g., one program for
RTTY; one program for Olivia, etc, etc...
I have a 7200 and I am not at all interested in computer control of my rig.
Neither am I
Johnne,
I would suggest you check out AirLink Express if you want a simple,
intuitive, and elegant program for PSK31. While this program also does
RTTY and CW, I find it far more simple and easy to use than any other
program I have used, including Digipan. Unfortunately I do not think
Johnne Lee,
2 that come to mind are Ham Radio Deluxe/DM780 and fldigi. Google/Bing
them and you won't be dissapointed. Both are outstanding and contain a
plethora of modes.

MixW 2.19 will be hard to beat. Yes, it is multi mode but it does Olivia if you
load the DLL and it is a simple program. It also does RTTY and CW but I am not
too sure about it Morse performance.

Hi
Jon,
Do you REALLY consider Ham Radio Deluxe/DM780 to be small, individual
digital mode software programs ??? Because that is what Johnne is looking
for. I consider HRD/DM780 to be software suites with a zillion bells and
whistles, which is exactly what Johnne is NOT looking for.
MMTTY is a good stand alone RTTY program. I don't work Olivia so can not
comment on that one.

Is a good place to look for many of the sound card modes. Many programs are
free.

No problem. I do it too. I have historically preferred the simple
dedicated programs such as Johnne is looing for, but recently have started
dabbling with HRD 5.0Beta.and DM780, and quite frankly, after only a week
or so of small exposure to it I do think I could come to really enjoy
I'm running a USInterface Navigator driving an ICOM Pro3. OS is WinXP

just fine, and fldigi shows the rig is connected once flrig is finished
initializing. However, during the init process, the waterfall stops. fldigi

I typically don't load up Ham Radio Deluxe, I go directly to DM780, so while
there is a lot of extra functionality there if you need it, you certainly don't
have to ever see that. I really, really like DM780's superbrowser mode that
displays and decodes all accessible PSK signals in the
