Reading the description on the website, it seems that the mode is optimized for
160m and down which are characterized by low doppler shift and good phase
stability. Therefore it is probably not a good mode to use on the HF bands.

Yep, I found the same. I don't know why developers do this. Serious digital
mode users aren't going to be using the default sound card for radio, surely?

I was able to get into the audio properties and do it from
there...(switched to Signalink) It worked, how ever I've messed up the
other things (have four sound cards). Yes it is messy, however it is
early days.
