so manual operation with widths greater than 500hz are OK below 7100? In other words if we are running 141A on 7096 , this would be OK, but automatic sounding on this frequency would not be permitted in the US? These new emergency frequencies were set up in Canada to comply with the IARU

Yes, it is OK in the U.S. to have RTTY/Data stations operate below 7100 and wider than 500 Hz if operating between two stations with control operators on each side. They can be physically present at the operating point or by remote control. The IARU Region 2 Band Plan does not recommend wide

Hi John, Maybe stay on 14111 for 20 meters when you run that band, and 7102 to keep away from the birdie on 40 or you pick it for your situation? When the FoF2 drops down to 1 or 2 MHz as we have been seeing, maybe 80 meters would work OK ? Here in the U.S. we do not have a wide bandwidth

Using 075 USB may be a problem. Since all of us that have been using Pactor and Amtor on 077 LSB for keyboarding. As in the past, many have heard pactor or amtor signals and thinking it's a robot QRM the ongoing QSO. Back to RTTY John
