SDR are also being used in the Military, government and commercial HF.
The SDR-1000 from Flex-Radio (http://www.flex-radio.com) and the DoD's JTRS

I will ditto that...a QSO with 3 or 4 stations at varying distances. My XYL
and I especially like the quietness between the individual stations talking.

I did a loopback test with WinDRM, running two rigs and two computers. It
turns out that it was the 3.5mm MONO jack that connects the sound card audio
output to the rig.
I switched to a stereo jack and the noise vanished! It took a few hours to
find, but the hiss is now

I'm using the AOR DV units, not WinDRM.
