[Discuss-gnuradio] Sampling rate of gr-ieee 802.15.4

2017-11-09 Thread Sumit Kumar
Hi, The 802.15.4 spec says that the channels should be 2 MHz wide with 5 MHz inter channel spacing. Why does gr-ieee 802.15.4 uses a sampling rate of 4MHz instead of 2 MHz ? Off course it works with commercial devices, but I am curious why 4 MHz and not 2 MHz. Regards Sumit

X 5 ~ 4000 samples for 802.15.4 (multiplied by 5 for upsampling the 4MHz signal of 802.15.4 to 20 MHz) So the set_history should save at least 4000 previous samples. I am not sure how it will affect the case where both 802.11 and 802.15.4 being decoded. On Thu, Nov 2, 2017 at 9:42 PM, Sumit

Hi, If my understanding is correct, most of the 802.15.4 receiver implementations perform frame synchronization i.e. find the start of the frame using the preambles which are nothing but 8 zeros(each of which is further converted to 32 bit chip). This is done after the OQPSK symbols (complex
