As a workaround (if this turns out to be a Dovecot bug) -
- you could use STATUS instead.
It would be several commands, one per folder, so you'd want to send them
pipelined for performance.
I've done this before in an email app I worked on and haven't seen any issues
with Dovecot or any

Have you considered any alternatives?
I'm thinking of IPSec to create a secured network encapsulation channel(s)
"above" the TCP connection(s).
This would provide encryption with control over cipher(s), and cert validation

Now, I changed Outlook setting of imap and I can see Draft, Trash, Sent and
Sent Messages folders and I can see the mail files in there. However, I don't
see mail files in the "cur or new" folder where is under .Sent Messages folder.

Maybe Outlook isn't going to upload all
Koshiro,
Sounds like Outlook isn't set to upload Sent messages (or Deleted, etc.)
And it sounds like an Outlook issue more than a Dovecot issue.
Maybe this will help?

If it is working as intended, is there a setting to tune down the delay?

- If I start an IDLE session / command
- Change the flags of some messages via another email app
- Dovecot can take a minute or more to notify the IDLE connection about flags
